I firstly have to say I purchased this story with high hopes. All the reviews that I read were excellent, and were glowing in both their descriptions of the story and the authors talents. I'm now going to throw a spanner in the works. Firstly, let me say I stopped reading at 20%. So I don't know what else happens in this book, but for me, the coincidences that I came across between this book, and The Lucky One written by Nicholas Sparks, (years ago) were just to much. Young marine finds a photo of unknown woman in the sand - check. Said marine holds onto it during his tours and uses it as a lucky charm - check. Marine is later discharged suffering PTSD - check, marine is then given a service dog, check. But I think the final OMG come on, moment was when we first meet the heroine, living with her grandma, and she has a troublesome ex - a sheriff! Come on! R E A L L Y??? Granted, there are a few changes, (this sheriff is gay/bi, or something), and the authors fleshed out some details regarding the hero's return, and in parts I quite enjoyed the story, so I'm conflicted. It has been quite a while since I read "the original story", I'm also not sure how this one progresses, but I feel I've given my money to the wrong author/s!!! And PS. I don't think I gave away any "spoilers", as the whole thing is spoiled anyway.Product details

First off I have to say that Tia and Penelope did such an amazing job with expressing what Matthew was dealing with in his PTSD.
This book was such an emotional roller coaster ride. from Matthews time in Iraq and his loss of his friend Jack to what he went through when he was sent home, the flash backs, the nightmares, the anger. Then you have Meleyna, The beautiful girl from the picture that Matthew kept with him in Iraq, since the day he found the picture he thought of that girl as his lucky charm, Matthew had no idea who she was, what her name was, but he finally decided after his certification with Parker his service dog that he would find this woman, When he found the beautiful woman he realized that the picture did not do her justice. Meleyna lived with her grandmother who raised her and they owned a kennel. She is a tomboy but curvy and beautiful. Meleyna is dealing with her ex Randy, even though she loves him she has to be done with him, until he figures out exactly what he wants she just cant keep pretending to be his girlfriend, Randy and Meleyna have been close since they were young and in high school, he was her one and only. But he cant make that same commitment to her. I cannot put into words how much I LOVED this story, I absolutely could not put it down until I finished it. another wonderful book by Tia and Penelope.
Matthew is an honorable discharged marine sniper who suffers from PTSD. On his last mission, he watched his spotter Jack being blown to pieces by an IED & was severally knocked in the head by the blast. Matthew believed a photo he found of a beautiful blond had been his lucky charm & saved his life on more than one occasion while in Iraq. Everything finally settles down when he returns home after receiving a support dog to help with his lack of impulse control. He decides that him & Parker, his support dog, are going to go find the woman in the picture. Meleyna lives with her Grandmother who raised her & helps run their doggie haven kennel for day & long term stays for animals. Meleyna has had her hands full while her Grandmother, Susan, recovers from a hip break she got from a bad fall. Meleyna has struggled to make a break from her life long friend & once lover, Randy, who just wants Meleyna in his life to hid the fact the he is gay. When Matthew finally lays eyes on Meleyna, the woman from the photo, he decides the picture doesn't do her justice. Matthew ends up staying to help Meleyna with the kennel while Susan recovers. Randy is jealous & wants to see Matthew leave town. When things escalate into a confrontation between the two men, Matthew leaves town because he believes Meleyna deserves someone without his problems. Will Meleyna just let Matthew walk away? Will Matthew ever be able to let Meleyna know his true feelings for her? Do Matthew & Meleyna has a chance at a HEA?
This third installment of the You & Me Series is masterful. Tia Lewis & Penelope Marshall deliver a remarkable story of a war hero who returns from war broken & damaged who through the love & guidance of his support animal learns to function back in the civilian world. I am a pro-military minded person with family members serving in the Marines so reading a book about how hard it is for some serving to transition back to civilian life after their service is heartfelt to me. This military romance was both thoughtful & well written giving the reader a chance to see love bloom when life isn't perfect. I would highly recommend this book. There is some graphic sexual conduct toward the end of this book but nothing over the top.

Bound to You is the third book in Lewis and Marshall's series. I absolutely loved this story. I laughed and cried. The storyline was centered around real life situations. I voluntarily received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book for an honest review. Happy Reading
